Progress… The students are coming up with all these sketches and my job is to outline them so that they are placed on the actual board game. There still has to be so much more to do. The students are trying to picture Valletta with what they know about it. I wonder what else they’ll come up with!

Meanwhile, another group of students are coming up with many trivial questions to use for the game….

Since the project involves students, they need to have their mark. Their input for brainstorming and idea generation has been crucial till now but their visual input has not yet been visible.

I am taking their actual sketches and translating them digitally to their most faithful. This may mean going back some steps by removing stuff I have done already and make them re-do it in their own way.

All ideas are being generated by the students themselves while I translate them in a more polished manner. Rome (Valletta) wasn’t built in a day - although design software has become very user-friendly and easy to grasp, there are a lot of little professional details that cannot simply be taught in a one-and-a-half-hour lesson a week to students.
